Воздушный транспорт остается одним из наиболее безопасных видов транспорта. Как сообщили в пресс-службе Министерства транспорта и связи, в прошлом году авиакатастрофы, которые имели место, произошли во время применения авиации в народном хозяйстве, выполнения начально-тренировочных или же частных полетов.
В целом в 2009 году в Украине при эксплуатации гражданских воздушных судов произошло четыре катастрофы (в частности, две – с частными воздушными судами, которые не внесены в государственный реестр гражданских воздушных судов Украины), две аварии и девять серьезных инцидентов.
Количество погибших на авиационном транспорте в прошлом году уменьшилось на 66% по сравнению с 2008 годом. Количество инцидентов также уменьшилось на 21,5%, а серьезных инцидентов ‑ на 25%.
В Минтрансе такую позитивную динамику связывают с результатом усиления Госавиаадминистрацией контроля и надзора за деятельностью эксплуатантов, реализации мероприятий, представленных Европейским агентством по безопасности полетов (EASA), а также активной работы самих авиакомпаний по четкому соблюдению всех требований безопасности полетов.
Анализ авиационных событий с частными воздушными судами авиации общего назначения свидетельствует, что их основной причиной продолжает оставаться человеческий фактор – недисциплинированность владельцев и частных пилотов, нарушения правил полетов, принятия решения на полет, в частности, в усложненных метеорологических условиях.

национальной авиационной отрасли за девять месяцев 2009 года
характеризуется продолжением тенденций, которые сформировались под
влиянием мирового экономического кризиса, сегодня можно констатировать
определенную стабилизацию на рынке авиаперевозок. Это подчеркнул первый
заместитель председателя Госавиаадминистрации Алексей Овчинников во
время расширенного совещания об итогах работы транспортно-дорожного
комплекса и отрасли связи за девять месяцев 2009 года.
Алексей Овчинников отметил, что относительно удачным III квартал
текущего года был для украинских авиакомпаний "МАУ", "Днеправиа",
"Донбассаэро", " Львовские авиалинии", "Визз Эйр Украина", "Украинские
вертолеты". Они, несмотря на сложные условия, смогли увеличить объемы
международных пассажирских перевозок по сравнению с прошлым годом.
Частично это связано с повышенным спросом на авиационные перевозки в
летний период, но также свидетельствует об эффективности антикризисных
мер, которые осуществляют авиакомпании. Да, в этом году введены новые
формы услуг и системы тарифов, проводятся акционные скидки,
оптимизируются расходы авиакомпаний. Популярным мероприятием стало
сотрудничество украинских авиакомпаний в рамках заключения соглашений
код-шеринга.
По оперативным статистическим данным за девять месяцев 2009 года
отечественными авиаперевозчиками осуществлено 64,6 тыс. коммерческих
рейсов, объемы пассажирских перевозок составили 4,1 млн человек, грузов
и почты - 61,5 тыс. тонн, сообщил А. Овчинников.
По его данным, на международных линиях перевезено около 3,3 млн
пассажиров, на внутренних - 800 тыс. пасс. Пассажирские перевозки в
этом году осуществляют 33 отечественные авиакомпании.
